I studied photojournalism at Ohio University, and after graduation in 2005 worked as a staff photographer at the Orange County Register from 2005-2007.  I am an independent photographer currently based in Chicago working as a kids tutor, but soon to be based in New Orleans.

Photography is a unique method, among many, used to communicate an individual's perspective on the world. In recent years I have strived to document the celebrations and beauty of life, community, and nature. I have also started an online photo magazine called Urban Nature.  The magazine explores the blurring point between nature and urban life and aims to cultivate new appreciation for and insight into our relationship with the everyday, with the world, and with each other.
